Image rules
- Up to 10 images per post
- Each image under 10 MB
- Threads can only fetch public image URLs, so PostOnly briefly hosts each image on its relay, then it is deleted
Posting to Threads with PostOnly
Threads posts go out with the same Markdown you write everywhere else. Posts over 500 characters become a reply chain, and a group of images becomes a carousel.
Threads can only fetch images from a public URL, so PostOnly uploads each image to a temporary host just long enough for Threads to collect it. The host is ephemeral and is not a gallery.
How to connect Threads
- In PostOnly choose Add Account → Threads.
- Enter a display name.
- Click Sign in with Threads. Threads opens in your browser.
- Approve PostOnly and return to the app.
Good to know
- Access lasts about 60 days. Threads does not let PostOnly renew it silently, so reconnect from the account's settings when it expires.
- Your Threads account is separate from your Instagram sign-in inside PostOnly.
