  1. Character counts, for every network

    Each network has its own rules. PostOnly counts the way each one counts, and tells you before you send, not after it bounces.

  2. Split only where a network needs it

    Bluesky and X get a two-post thread. PostOnly cuts at the paragraph break when the first part fits, never mid-word, and posts the second part as a reply to the first. Everyone else gets the whole post. The image goes with the second post, the paragraph it was attached to.

    Activity is a record of what you sent: one row per post, a link to each live copy, and the numbers those posts picked up. It is the only thing PostOnly ever reads back.

    There is no feed in PostOnly. Nothing refreshes, nothing counts unread, nothing asks you to stay. You wrote the thing; the app's job is done.

Questions

Why no timeline or feed?

Because that's the whole point. PostOnly is a tool for publishing, not for consuming. You open it, write, post, and get on with your day. If you want to read your networks, use their own apps; PostOnly won't compete for your attention.

Which networks are supported today?

Total CMS (your own site's Feed, unlimited and free), Bluesky, Mastodon (any instance), Threads, Facebook Pages, Instagram Business and Creator (including Stories), LinkedIn, X, Telegram, Discord, Slack, Micro.blog, and Pinterest. Google Business Profile and LinkedIn Pages are built and waiting on API approval. One caveat today: Instagram sign-in works for accounts on our tester list while Meta finishes its standard-access review, so if yours fails at the connect step, that is why, and it will clear without an app update. See the networks page for the limits and rules of each.

Is there a subscription?

Not unless you want one. The free tier covers unlimited Total CMS feeds plus any two other connected accounts. Multiple Accounts is $59.99 once, or $19.99 a year if you prefer, and unlocks unlimited accounts everywhere except X. X is the one exception: it has a small monthly subscription purely to cover its API costs. Pricing has the details.

Does PostOnly read or store what's already posted?

It never shows you a feed, and it never pulls in other people's posts. The one thing it reads back is the stats of posts you sent (likes, replies, views) for the history view. Post history itself is a local record of what you've sent, with links back to the live posts.

Is this really native, not a wrapped web app?

Yes. PostOnly is built with SwiftUI for macOS and iOS. No Electron, no embedded browser. That's why it's fast and light.
