Posting to Instagram with PostOnly
PostOnly publishes to Instagram Business and Creator accounts. Write a caption of up to 2,200 characters, attach one image or up to ten, and send. Several images become a carousel.
Instagram Stories are a separate destination in the same app. Stories are image-only and have no caption, so text in your post is not included, and each image you attach becomes its own Story.
How to connect Instagram
- In PostOnly choose Add Account → Instagram for the feed, or Instagram Story for Stories.
- Enter a display name.
- Click Sign in with Instagram. Instagram opens in your browser.
- Approve PostOnly and return to the app.
Good to know
- Your Instagram account must be a Business or Creator account.
- Access lasts about 60 days. Instagram does not let PostOnly renew it silently, so reconnect from the account's settings when it expires.
- Instagram needs an image on every post. PostOnly blocks the send and tells you why instead of failing.
- Images are briefly hosted on PostOnly's relay so Instagram can fetch them, then deleted.
- Long posts are not split into threads on Instagram.
