Posting to Pinterest with PostOnly
PostOnly publishes pins to a board you choose. Every pin needs at least one image, and the composer has a title field in addition to the 800-character description.
Both public and secret boards work, which makes a secret board a safe place to try a pin before it goes anywhere visible.
How to connect Pinterest
- In PostOnly choose Add Account → Pinterest.
- Enter a display name.
- Click Sign in with Pinterest. Pinterest opens in your browser.
- If your account has more than one board, choose which one to connect, then Save.
Good to know
- If you change which permissions PostOnly needs, revoke PostOnly under Pinterest account settings → Security first, then reconnect. Pinterest otherwise reissues the old permissions silently.
- A Pinterest connection that sits idle for 60 days needs a reconnect.
- Over-limit text is refused, not threaded.
Pinterest questions
I reconnected Pinterest but still can't post to a secret board. Why?
Pinterest skips its consent screen for an app you already authorized and silently reissues the old permissions. Revoke PostOnly under Pinterest account settings → Security, then connect again, and the new permissions take effect.
